60’s fashion and Italian style in the world
The 1960s marked profound changes in society that also involved the fashion world, developing a new awareness that expressed itself in the way of dressing: prêt-à-porter was born and ready-made fashion spread.
The “haute couture” gives way to a more industrial production than that of the Parisian houses, allowing the fashion to reach more and more people, expanding into wider market segments that had previously been kept out.
